About the Exhibition

‘Surface Treatment’, with work by Paul Heppell and Sarah Roberts, will be the final exhibition as part of Oriel Wrecsam’s programme and will be housed at Glyndŵr University’s School of Creative Arts.

Though continuing to be supported by Oriel Wrecsam, PERICLO will become independent and, after embracing a period of research and development, will seek to act as a catalyst for current students and recently graduated artists. PERICLO will position itself as a conduit between Glyndŵr, Oriel Wrecsam and Undegun to form a strong but adaptable support network.

Paul Heppel (b.1974, Morecambe) studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Glyndwr University, Wrexham (2013-2016). The intuitive nature of Paul’s practice leads to a healthy unpredictability in terms of its outcomes. This is something which has developed over the past year as artist in residence at Glyndŵr University’s School of Creative Arts.

Sarah Roberts (b. 1980, Tywyn) lives and works in London and Mid Wales. Roberts will present new work, Y CALCH – THE CHALK *sic, a site-specific installation.

The PERICLO exhibition programme is kindly supported by Glyndŵr University, Oriel Wrecsam, THIS Project, Wrexham County Borough Council, Arts Council Wales, Welsh Government and the National Lottery.
